| Time To Decide* From "Liar, Lord, Lunatic" by Josh McDowell Evidence That Demands a Verdict Jesus Claimed to be God Mark 8:29 Matt. 16:16-17 Mark 14 61-64 John 14:9 There are Two Possibilites This is False. This is True. If it is False, If it is True, there are two possibilities, there is only one possibility, Jesus was an evil liar Or He was mentally ill. He is truly God. Was Jesus a liar? Was he mentally ill? Will you accept Him or reject Him? Why would he die for a lie? Why are his words so wise? Heaven? Hell? This is the most important decison you will ever make. It will change your life for better or worse forever. If Jesus is really God, and you do not accept Him as God, you are telling God that he is a liar and that he is crazy. Just as you cannot tell a king that he is a mentally ill liar and expect to be invited to live with him in the palace, you cannot expect that if you call God a crazy liar that HE will invite you to heaven. Jesus died and already paid the price to give you an invitation to Heaven. You need to decide whether to accept that invitation or to throw it in the trash. God does not want you to go to Hell. To prove that he loves you, he died for you. It is time to decide. Some might say that this is unloving. Speaking the truth in a gentle way is the most loving thing you can do. Sometimes we must tell unpleasant news to those we care about so that they will not get hurt. Would you prefer to go to a doctor who is truthful or only tells you what you want to hear even if there is a free cure to the deadly disease that you have? I am telling you that you have a deadly disease called sin which will cause you to suffer in Hell forever. I don't want you to suffer so I am telling you about your disease not because I want to make you feel bad but so that I can tell you about the free cure that Jesus died to provide. Please continue to the next page "Want New Life?" if you would like to know how you can receive this free cure. Please do not wait. You may not live long enough to have a second chance. Failing to say Yes is the same as saying NO. Please decide. |
